Seeking Small Animal DVM
Docton Animal Clinic is seeking a caring, smart, and energetic Veterinarian with an interest in general surgery and medicine for our small animal practice. We are located in Xenia, Ohio, only 20 minutes from Dayton and just over an hour from either Columbus or Cincinnati. City adventure is close by while still able to live a quiet lifestyle. We know work-life balance is essential to being able to provide the compassionate care we strive to provide. Our practice has been serving Greene County for more than 60 years.
Our clinic offers Cornerstone software, Idexx in-house lab and reference lab, digital x-ray, dentistry with digital x-ray, ultrasound, therapy laser and - BEST OF ALL - a knowledgeable, compassionate, helpful support staff. We have 5 RVTs, 3 RVT students, multiple assistants plus a dedicated inventory manager and communications specialist and an experienced practice manager. Our staff is friendly and has considerable experience. We schedule appointments and offer daily limited Urgent Care; we are an efficient and busy practice. Our doctors are happy and eager to mentor new veterinarians. Our Docton Animal Clinic family works together as a team to benefit our clients, patients and community.
Our practice is seeking a veterinarian who would like to grow personally and professionally. These include, but are not limited to, promoting a positive work environment among staff members, understanding the value of teamwork, showing enthusiasm and willingness to perform tasks as necessary to help the practice function as a unit. Additionally, performing physical examinations using preliminary data provided by the veterinary technicians/assistants; diagnosing physical conditions and presenting diagnostic and treatment alternatives to the client while being sensitive to their emotional as well financial needs; and performing medical, surgical and dental procedures.
Salary is based on experience with production pay. Standard benefits include health insurance, retirement plan with employer match (after 1 year employment), paid time off, uniform allowance, paid membership and dues, DEA licensure, and CE allowance with paid time off to attend. Elective benefits include group dental and vision and Aflac/supplemental insurance.
