Dear Pet Parents/Owners,
We are so thankful for the confidence and trust you place in not only the doctors at Docton Animal Clinic, but also the entire team. We've always known the importance of employing knowledgeable, dependable, compassionate people. We strive to hire, train and retain the best receptionists, veterinary assistants and Registered Veterinary Technicians to provide you and your pet with loving care.
As the labor market has evolved over the years, and given the current economy, we recognize the need to adjust our fees to support both retaining a talented team and covering our increasing supply costs. While we have been charging for our RVT exams, effective March 6, we will implement a Veterinary Assistant Services fee for nail trims, ear cleaning, anal gland expression, blood glucose checks, blood pressure checks and other services scheduled with our assistants. The fee is $12 per pet, per visit in addition to the fee for the service(s) requested. While we are keeping the fees for those services the same, we do have to pass along the price increases in medications and injections, such as Cytopoint Allergy Injection. Please visit our website to view pricing for common services/injections.
While our goal is to keep veterinary medicine affordable to you, we also have a responsibility to those team members providing the care. We have kept fee increases to a minimum over the last few years, but are no longer able to absorb our rising costs. We have posted pricing for common services on our website (click here to view) and encourage you to ask for a treatment plan and fees anytime your pet requires care. For your convenience, we do accept pet insurance and Care Credit as alternative payment options.www.doctonac.com/pricing--payment-options.html
Thank you for your understanding as we continue to partner with you for your pet's care.
Sincerely,
The Doctors and Team at Docton Animal Clinic
