Diagnostic Tools
Diagnostic tools are used to aid the process of making a medical diagnosis. The veterinarian's physical exam and the information the pet owner provides are the first tools used. At the very basic level, we use a stethoscope, thermometer and otoscope to perform the physical exam. Other tools include blood work, which can be performed in-house for urgent cases, radiographs (x-rays), and ultrasound. Click each link below to learn more.
