Veterinary Receptionists
When Betsy completed the Adult Education course “Front Office Specialist” through the Greene County Career Center in 2007, she wasn’t sure what type of office setting she would end up working in. But with a strong background in 4H - specifically rabbits - along with a love of all things pets (except mice; never, ever mice), our veterinary clinic became the perfect fit. She strives to expand her knowledge in the veterinary field so that she can help to educate our clients. She hopes that in doing so, she can help make a pet's life a little better. She enjoys getting to meet clients and their pets. She has helped clients from their first puppy visit through that last visit where they helped their best friend cross over with grace. She loves to build lasting relationships and she’s come to build amazing friendships with some longtime clients.
In her time away from work, she continues to be active in her local 4H community, as well as spending time and making memories with her family. She shares her life with her husband and 2 small children, who have convinced her to adopt 3 stray cats over the years: Skye, Harley and Fuzzball. She is also owned by Riddick, an Australian Cattle Dog who identifies as a Labrador because he eats everything in sight, much to Betsy’s dismay. |
Jeri is from Coldwater, Ohio and currently resides in Vandalia. We are thankful she makes the drive to be a friendly face at our front desk. Jeri loves to assist clients, in person or on the phone, and finds satisfaction knowing that every day she has done everything possible to make pets and their families feel cared for and loved. Her Associates Degree in Paralegal has served her well in the daily communications she facilitates between clients and our doctors. She strives to care for the animals that cannot care for themselves and she enjoys learning from our doctors and technicians so that she can continue to address client concerns. A random fun fact about Jeri is that she was a competitive swimmer year-round from age 8 to 18 years old, so it’s no surprise that she LOVES the beach. With husband Tony and children Morgan and Troy, she enjoys family vacations to enjoy the ocean and fun in the sun. Locally, she likes to go hiking with her family and golden retrievers, Lacey and Oliver.

As a self-proclaimed “Navy Brat”, Becky has had the opportunity to live in many places and meet a variety of people. It’s probably one of the reasons she genuinely loves people! Becky’s past work experiences in veterinary medicine make her a great match for our front desk team. She loves pets and feels that helping people care for their pets is extremely rewarding! Of course, puppy breath and kitty cuddles are also favorites. If you hear singing at the front desk, it is very likely Becky, as she enjoys acting in our local theaters. At the end of the day, she counts herself lucky enough to have five fabulous cats and two terrific dogs at home.

Veterinary Assistants

Morgan earned her Veterinary Assistant Certificate through San Juan College and is currently enrolled in Penn Foster’s online program to earn her degree in Veterinary Technology. Additionally, she is working towards a Fear Free certificate. She grew up in southwestern Michigan.
Morgan found her passion for veterinary medicine growing up with standardbred race horses and farm animals. She has a strong interest in animal nutrition and hopes to become a licensed veterinary technician, specializing in clinical pathology or nutrition. She is passionate about elderly patients, hospice and end-of-life care. She also loves all cats, even the grumpy ones.
Outside of work, Morgan showed horses growing up and played tennis. More recently, she enjoys mounted archery, baking, and gardening, as well as rescuing horses. She resides in Xenia with her husband and many pets, big and small, including horses, cows, a donkey, goats, dogs and cats.

We enjoy watching our team grow and develop in their education, whether their course is veterinary medicine or another field. We've even been fortunate to have several previous assistants continue to Veterinary School. Below are a few of our current college students who still work over school breaks and summertime.

Payton grew up on a farm in Cedarville and has been around animal medicine her whole life. She showed pigs in 4-H for over 13 years and she has always wanted to be a large animal veterinarian. She enjoys working with livestock and working national livestock shows. She has earned her B.S in Science with a Minor in Business and she was just started Veterinary School at The Ohio State University! Her future goals include finishing vet school in 2026, working as a large animal DVM, and eventually opening her own large animal practice.
She loves working in the small animal clinic as well and is especially in love with all of the cats. Payton feels this profession is so rewarding. It’s rewarding to see very ill patients come back months later and are back to normal and living the best life. It makes this job all worth it!
Her pets include cats “Sam Hubbard” and “Amy Hubbard”, Australian Shepherds “Annie" and "Piper” and a horse, 2 donkeys, 4 sheep, and a jersey steer.

Practice Manager
Tiffany began her career with Docton immediately following high school graduation. She worked as a veterinary assistant throughout college and graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education with a focus on Mathematics in 2004. She completed her Masters of Education in 2005. She continued working at Docton while taking several long-term substitute positions at nearby schools. When a career in the education field didn't come to fruition, she was offered a full-time position as office manager.
Tiffany went on to earn her Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management from St. Petersburg College in 2013. She then achieved the title of Certified Veterinary Practice Manager in 2014 after completing the necessary requirements and sitting for a national test, as designated by the Veterinary Hospital Managers Association. She is one of approximately 1,000 CVPMs nationwide. She enjoys the variety a veterinary office offers and rarely misses an opportunity to gush over puppies and kittens, although she has a particular soft spot for our more "senior" patients. She resides with her husband, Brandon, and two sons on a Greene County farm. She shares her home with an orange and white cat, "Tater"; a Rottweiler, "Yelta", a spunky black and white cat name Lazarus for his near death experience as a 3 week old kitten, "Bandit", a black cat rescued as an underweight, starving kitten off the bike path, and 2 barn cats: Fluffy and Precious. Her free time is spent camping, swimming, fishing, and just being outdoors with her family, as well as reading and scrapbooking. |
