Edna earned her Associates of Science of Veterinary Technology from Penn Foster in 2012. Her love for all things furry and otherwise has driven her desire to care for and learn about animals. She has attended many seminars and conferences, mostly focusing on nutrition and dentistry.
Edna is a long time, dedicated employee of Docton Animal Clinic; she joined the Docton team in 1994. Edna’s favorite part of veterinary medicine is helping pets live healthier lives through treatment and client education. She is our surgery technician, assisting in surgery procedures and dental cleanings. If your pet needs a procedure done, Edna will likely be caring for your pet! Edna is a life-time resident of the Greene/Clinton County area. She and her husband, Trent, have 3 children. Besides caring for her family, farm life – including chickens, cattle, and goats – keeps her busy in her time away from work. Some of Edna’s current furry kids include 6 dogs: Athena, Bella and Tank (all Great Pyrenees), Mario (a Brittany mix), Annie (a Brittany) and Milly (a rat terrier, pictured). She also has 3 cats, Alex, Tigger, and Chestnut. |
Jessica is a Xenia native, graduating from Xenia High School in 2007. She earned her Associates of Science of Veterinary Technology from University of Cincinnati Blue Ash in 2013, passing her national boards to earn the title Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) that same year. She furthered her education, graduating in 2017, with a Bachelor's of Veterinary Technology from St. Petersburg College.
Jessica is committed to helping our clients here at Docton provide their animals with exceptional care. Jessica loves the variety of veterinary medicine - she assists in surgery and enjoys interacting with patients and their owners during their appointments. As our Safety Officer, Jessica also works hard to keep our clinic a safe place to work and helps us adhere to OSHA's rules and guidelines. Jessica has also re-vamped our internal training program, giving it a much needed overhaul. When she is not working hard at the clinic, Jessica enjoys playing and coaching volleyball and crafting. She and husband, Josh, have a daughter and son and 2 dogs to care for: Romo, a Saint Bernard, and Miley, a Shih Tzu mix. |
Picture coming soon. Amanda graduated from Sinclair Community College with her Associates of Applied Science in 2013 and passed her NVT the same year, earning the certification Registered Veterinary Technician. Amanda believes that animals are amazing and deserve to be taken care of when they are ill. Amanda’s philosophy is that since they can't talk, we must advocate for them and their health the best we can, and we do that everyday!
Amanda’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is assisting the doctors in surgery. She enjoys recovering the patient from anesthesia and seeing them so happy to go home with their owners. Additionally, our work provides something different everyday. Amanda states, “You never know what's going to walk through the door! The way our doctors practice medicine is amazing and it's good to know you have full trust in every doctor here, along with my coworkers. My coworkers and bosses make it enjoyable to come to work each day!”
Amanda plans to expand her RVT education by furthering her education in Emergency and Critical Care. In her time away from work, she likes to stay active by walking and hiking, working out or playing volleyball. She loves to hang out with friends and her three feline fur babies: Kinsey (aka Kiki), Mozzarella (aka Momma), Gouda and her dog, Ace.
