Primary Veterinary Technician Duties:
The RVTs at our clinic ensure that clients and pets are treated as family. RVTs facilitate the day’s appointments and urgent cares by escorting clients to the exam room, recording the pet’s medical history, preparing medications, and entering charges. They draw blood and urine specimens, monitor hospitalized patients, administer treatments, place IV catheters, restrain pets for various reasons, maintain controlled drug logs, and work with our 5 doctors to meet the needs of the patient and owner.
We handle cats with care and use many of the Fear Free techniques for both cats and dogs. We utilize Cornerstone software, Idexx in house lab machines, digital x-ray, including digital dental x-ray, Companion Laser, Ultrasound, and central oxygen and scavenger for WAGS. We have 6 exam rooms and a dedicated work space to complete electronic records. We carry Purina and Royal Canin diets.
Last, but certainly not least, presenting a cheerful attitude, being a team player and helping clients are critical to your success. We hope that you will love your job with us and have fun doing it. You will be well paid and we offer a variety of benefits, including paid time off, paid major holidays, sick pay, pet discount, uniform allowance, paid CE, and 401k plan. Health insurance, eye and dental insurance is available as well. We treat you the way we want to be treated. If you have read ALL of this and feel you are the person for this position, we would love for you to apply to join our hard-working, but fun-loving, work family!
